It’d be nice if they made more performance tires in a 14 inch size

I think the world is telling you to upgrade to 15s.

I had no trouble finding good hi-po tires in a 14"....in 1997.

I bought Direzza Z2's in a 14" size and absolutely loved them. Friend then bought the same tires in a 14" for his ‘74 GTV and loved those. Great tire.

Try finding them for 10" wheels!

It’s pretty much Chinese tires, Yokohama summer tires, or non-DOT tires or Hoosiers.

4X98 bolt pattern on the Alfas, right? 4X100s in a 15 or 16, with wobble bolts?

Ran into the same scenario with my Fiat and it’s 13" tires. There are lots of options— for trailer tires...

Falken Azeni RT615?

I used these for a couple seasons of autox on an e30 w/ stock wheels. Last maybe 8-10k miles but grip is amazing.

Yeah, I even had to switch from 15/16 to 16/17 since it was impossible to find decent matching staggered tires.

They’re a 4x108 actually.

Ah interesting— so assuming the 4X108 has fewer wheel options than the 4X110 you could use the wobble bolts to switch— otherwise may as well stick with the 4X108s I suppose...

Seriously, you won’t find anything good for a 14" wheel. Once you get 15" wheels, a whole new world will open up to you!

Shitloads of choices in 4x108! Old 4-stud Fords and Peugeots through the 90s/00s.

The tyre issue is why I stepped up to 15s for my Spitfire. They’re too big to look proper on a classic really, but tyre choices are so much better on 15s.

I am planning on getting the Direzzas for my miata. Is there some other tire worth switching to 15in for? I know it singles me out amongst enthusiasts but I really like the idea of keeping my wheels stock.
